I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my small business: how to shape it; how to grow it. In the next few months I’m looking to do some big things and make some big changes, but I always want to stay small.
I love being a one-woman show, the smallest of teams (for one thing, I happen to love my boss). But sometimes I listen too much to voices around me. You’re too isolated, they say. You’re not a team player. You’ll never be enough on your own. Well, they’re wrong. When you love what you do and you’re awesome at doing it, I say just keep doing what you’re doing. (And surround yourself with kinder voices.)
Anyway, I’m loving this gentle reminder from entrepreneur Jason Fried that there’s nothing wrong with staying small.
