Today’s the day! As of June 1 I’m freelance editing full-time! *happy dance*

I’ve been editing professionally for over a decade, but it was just three years ago that I started Kelsey Mitchener Editing as an official business. Now I’m making the jump to this being my full-time gig, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

New month, new start—and new services and a new website! I’ve freshly categorized my editing work into five nonfiction editing services: The Encourager, The Fly-Through, The Fine-Toothed Comb, The Professional Opinion, and The Whole Shebang.

Together these cover the gamut of copy editing and proofreading services I typically offer, and they include a fun new service, too. I’ll introduce each of these editing services in more depth on the blog over the coming months, but I’d love for you to check them out now and see which might be a good fit for you.

Along with that, I’ve revamped my website. I hope that the site speaks clearly to you—my clients—about you, about me, and about what we can do together. Please let me know what you think; I want the site to be as useful to you as possible.

Now it’s time to roll up my sleeves and get to work! I’ve got some exciting projects lined up for July, but I’ve still got some openings for mid and late June (plus some spots still in July, too). I’ve also got some fun ideas up my sleeves for the summer months (so much sleeve action lately!), including launching a newsletter. I hope you’ll follow along with me as I make this thing I love my livelihood.
